Rite of Christian Initiation for Teens (RCIT)

St. Max offers a program of Christian Initiation specifically for teens who have missed traditional sacramental preparation or simply want to learn more about the Catholic faith. The program is based on the adult program (RCIA) which has been used by the Catholic church formally since 1972, but is based on rites of the church that date back to the first century.

Weekly sessions are geared towards making the Catholic faith and a relationship with God real and present for today’s teen. In addition to the weekly sessions students are required to attend weekend masses and special liturgies.

The program is a discernment process as much as it is an educational opportunity at the end of the course, students who are ready, may proceed with the reception of sacraments.

Weekly sessions in the edcucation center will begin on Thursday, October 6th, 2011 at 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM

We look to our parishioners of St. Max, as well as others who benefit from our facilities. We need each of you to make a commitment to "Build To Completion". Through good ministry, generosity and focus, we have reached a stage where we can and must build for St. Max parish in Pembroke Pines, Broward County Florida to best address its growing needs. It continues with the dream of constructing of a New Church with seating for 1,200 persons. This have been a long time coming, and will be the result of Parish-wide personal sacrifices, made with heartfelt love and deep, abiding faith. When people see and hear about our parish, let's show the world that our values reach into the very depths of what it means to be a Catholic and a follower of Christ. Pray that the intent of your actions will be substantial and meaningful, so that together we can make the dream a reality.
